Alright sorry it's been so long, I'll get used to this eventually. So this morning during my personal study, i came across a scripture and a corresponding member's blog which i thought deserved some credit and will be quoting a bit during this update.

The scripture I came across this morning was 1 Nephi 15: 35, which reads: "And there is a place prepared, yea, even that aawful bhell of which I have spoken, and the cdevil is the preparator of it; wherefore the final state of the souls of men is to dwell in the kingdom of God, or to be cast out because of that djustice of which I have spoken."

This got me thinking, is hell a place or a temporary mental state? As these two concepts are often confusing, I decided to look into an explanation that can clear things up. I then came across a blog posted by Bro. Bott. He pretty much points out that both are correct in their own way. While God created Hell as a place for the wicked, Satan is the ruler and tormentor of it; and is the cause of you being in that humbling state of mind until a time that you are willing to look to God for forgiveness.

Here is a link to his blog and the various scripture references he uses:

Sorry for the delay, still getting used to sharing my thougts...

Words of Mormon 1:7 "And I do this for a wise purpose; for thus it whispereth me, according to the workings of the Spirit of the Lord which is in me. And now, I do not know all things; but the Lord knoweth all things which are to come; wherefore, he worketh in me to do according to his will. "

This scripture really sticks out to me, especially being on a mission. There have been times where I honestly had no clue as to how to answer a question or where to go in a conversation. But after a short prayer asking the spirit to lead the conversation, words just seem to flow through my head to my fingers and i just start typing. Through experiences like this I know that the Lord is watching out for me, and is willing to guide so long as I am willing to act on the message given to me.

Well, this is my first blog ever, which means I don't have a single clue where to start. I guess i can begin with a little bit about me. I was born and rasied in New Jersey and am one of six kids (3rd from the top). I love reading fantasy/sci fi novels (big star wars fan) and played sledge hockey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sledge_hockey) for 6 years.

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have always wanted a way to repay tthe Lord for the health i've been given. Acting on that, I am now serving as a full-time missionary via Mormon.org chat, where i answer questions and teach people who are interested in the gospel. To be honest I love it, I get to talk to people around the world and hear of their stories. Not only that, but whie i'm teaching others through the spirit, I learn alot myself by looking up and pondering on the best answer for them.

Well that's my first blog, I hope it was worth reading to you. I'm going to try to put a new one up monday, wednesday, and friday (with today being the exception).
